The Swiss luxury watch brand, in cooperation with German watch and jewellery retailer Wempe, has released the limited edition Navitimer B02 Chronograph 41 Cowboy Wempe Signature Collection (model: AB02304A1L1P1), combining classic design along with modern technology, based on the Breitling Navitimer watch worn by cowboy Scott Carpenter in 62.
The new watch has a size of 41 mm and a width of 13 mm, a decrease in size compared to the original (43 mm diameter), making it handier. The case is crafted from stainless steel and features a double-sided anti-reflective sapphire crystal, a bidirectional rotating bezel, the iconic round slide rule, and a clear case back. It is water-repellant to 30 meters.
The dial includes a deep, rich green color, with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) logo design at 12 o'clock (24 o'clock). The hour indicators use a classic 24-hour program and are coated with an older Super-LumiNova luminescent material, giving out a green glow in the dark for any vintage feel.
Subdials are located at three, 6, and 9 o'clock, serving as 30-minute, 12-hour, and small seconds counter tops respectively. These subdials tend to be recessed and decorated together with circular textures, giving the actual dial a unique three-dimensional appear.
